I have been a teacher at Central Crossing High School for the past five years. I have a degree in Journalism and Creative Writing from Miami University. I also received my teaching certification from the University of Cincinnati and a Masters degree in School Counseling from the University of Dayton. This year I teach Sophomore English, CT Junior English, and AP Junior English. I am also the co-advisor to the Key Club, and an after school detention monitor on Thursdays.
I live in Dublin, and in my free time I enjoy reading, scouting vintage shops for awesome vintage furniture, playing with my puppy Penelope, and organizing. Yes, organizing! I dream job would be to become a professional organizer and go on Oprah. Also this winter I am embarking on The Movie Project, which involves watching all the classic movies (like Star Wars and Indiana Jones) that I haven't seen, and which Ms. Hellard and Mr. Fields insist I need to see.
My favorite tv shows are the Big Bang Theory, Mad Men, and The Office. I also love the Colbert Report and the Daily Show on Comedy Central. My favorite football team is the Chicago Bears! Even my puppy has a Bears jersey, and going to a Bears game in person is now on my life to do list. I am looking forward to the summer and my trip to Paris, which will be my first time traveling overseas. I can't wait to eat all the cheese and pastries!
